On the nose:

The aroma opens with a rich medley of dried fruits, showcasing ripe raisins and plump sultanas that bring a sense of deep, concentrated sweetness. Beneath this fruity layer, there's a hint of dry orchard fruit, like apples and pears left to mature on a sunny windowsill. A comforting note of gingerbread emerges, adding warmth and a touch of spice. Light peppery spices dance gently on the nose, enhancing the complexity. The influence of aged oak is unmistakable, with an elegant presence of varnished wood and polished oak cabinet, suggesting time well spent in carefully selected barrels.

On the palate:

On the palate, the experience is a delightful interplay of flavors. The initial taste brings a peppery sweetness intertwined with the essence of dried fruit, echoing the raisins and sultanas from the nose. The rich, moist character of Jamaica cake introduces a luscious, spiced richness, which is complemented by the bittersweet notes of dark chocolate. As the whisky develops, a subtle oakiness emerges, creating a drying effect that precedes a robust finish. The finish is marked by layers of coffee and a hint of chili heat, offering a warming and slightly spicy conclusion.
